Are you ready to embark on the Level 2 Award in Wine and Spirits Online?

Level 2 is a beginner to intermediate level qualification exploring wines and spirits for those working in the industry or enthusiasts who enjoy wine and want to know more. This qualification has a minimum requirement of 28 hours of study time, including 16 hours of classroom or online delivery time.

Each five-week course has a set start and finish date along with guidelines on progression. Students are free to log-in and complete their learning hours at times that suit them. During the course you’ll have access to a WSET educator who provides feedback on the assignments and responds course-related queries. You can connect with other students in your cohort throughout the online discussion forums.

Once you’ve selected a date, we’ll register you with the Online Classroom and mail your Study Pack.

You’ll create an on-line classroom account to begin the course.

Once you’ve completed the five-week course, we’ll schedule your exam and you’ll come to the APP to sit the examination in person.  

For individuals seeking a core understanding of wines, this qualification explores the major grape varieties and important wine regions in which they are grown. You’ll learn about the styles of wines produced from these grapes as well as key classifications and labelling terminology. A basic overview of the key categories of spirits and liqueurs will also be provided. Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo.
